Christina Villarreal-Davis, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC
Dr. Villarreal-Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S), a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor (RPT-S), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Master’s degree in Community Counseling from St. Mary’s University in 2002 and her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University in 2007. She has over 17 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples with various emotional and behavioral concerns, to include depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, couples and marital problems, behavioral problems, ADHD, parenting, adjustment issues, and children in foster care. She specializes in working with children utilizing play therapy as well as enhancing parenting skills through Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT). Dr. Villarreal-Davis is a member of the Association for Play Therapy, the Texas Association for Play Therapy (TAPT), the American Counseling Association, the Southern Association for Counselor Educators and Supervisors, the Texas Counseling Association, the Texas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has also served on the board for the Alamo Chapter of TAPT and is currently the Treasurer of TAPT. Additionally, she is an Assistant Professor at Liberty University Online. In her free time, Dr. Villarreal-Davis enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, working out, outdoor activities, traveling, reading, and learning!
